Have ridden there on motorcycle many times, always go down to Brookside (just below dam, easy to miss turnoff by bridge) along lake to chill - check it out.
One of my favorite places to photograph. Literally on the edge of a small wilderness, reminds one of the wonders that could be around every corner.

This dam is know as the Fugitive dam. It is the one Harrison Ford jumps off of in the movie The Fugitive. Watch the movie before you go. You will notice lots of Hollywood magic was added to the movie
