(Disclaimer: we stayed here in mid-April, so some of the privacy, cleanliness, and lack of crowding could be because it was technically before peak season started. And in reference to a previous review, this is also why the camp host was not there yet.)
A new favorite place for camping. Warm water on bathrooms, the spots are not on top of each other and a good variety of sizes for RVS, tents and other size campers.
This is definitely a new favorite spot for me! It was not crowded at all, the campsites are spread out nicely, and there IS lake access through little trails down to the water. There is also a swimming area withing walking distance of the campground. Probably some of the cleanest campsite bathrooms and showers I've seen, and all of the roads and trails around camp were very well maintained. We went swimming and hiked in the area a bit and really enjoyed our stay.
Great location for exploring the area. Helpful campground host. Nice sites and easy access showers and toilets. Lovely views. Quiet mid week. A little noisier on the weekend.
Awesome day trip public beach access and picnic area. Looking forward to going back many more times.
Older federal campground, no lake access, no campground host, RV sites very close together, never saw a ranger or any park persons. Could be a lot better with just a little attention. will not return.
